Application for Solicitation Permit Application, Solicitation, authorization, In order to conduct solicitous activity in the community, whether charitable or otherwise, a letter of Authorization must be obtained prior to conducting the activity. In addition to a solicitation authorization, all organizations conducting "for profit" solicitations are also required to obtain a City Business License. Chapter 5.20 of the Rancho Palos Verdes Municipal Code sets fees, guidelines and requirements for organizations conducting solicitations in the community.
