Among the features available for public enjoyment in the upper park area are baseball and soccer fields, numerous picnic areas with barbecues, playground equipment suitable for toddlers to adolescents, and a well-used ¼ mile walking path. Most of the privatized recreation classes are offered at this facility and many Peninsula Senior activities are held here. Additionally three rooms in the community center are available for rental for meetings and private parties. The newly developed lower park site offers a sand volleyball court, picnic areas (no barbecues permitted), leisurely walking paths, and comfortable locations for enjoying panoramic views of Catalina Island north to Malibu. Founders Park:
Founders Park was formally accepted by the City on January 17, 2006 and named in honor of the City’s founders who led the effort to incorporate the City of Rancho Palos Verdes in 1973.  This 5.5-acre parcel is located adjacent to the Trump National Clubhouse and offers patrons an attractive site, with breath-taking ocean views, picnic tables, a gazebo, nearby restrooms, coastal access and adjacent walking and biking trails.  Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

Daily, Dawn – Dusk

Park Rentals:
This park offers a scenic location for your wedding  or other ceremony.  With its spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island, lush landscape, and location adjacent to the Trump National Golf Course Clubhouse, this tranquil 5.5-acre park is an attractive site for wedding ceremonies.  In order to allow park visitors the chance to fully enjoy this wonderful park on a drop-in basis, ceremonies are limited to one three-hour event per day between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM.  A large grassy area punctuated by a custom-built gazebo provides a perfect setting for a beautiful outdoor ceremony with up to 100 guests.  Nearby restrooms and public parking are also available to visitors.

Renting parties may purchase optional packages that Include photography on Trump National property, use of private restroom facilities and the services of an audio technician and a ceremony coordinator.  Founders Park rentals are coordinated by the City’s Recreation and Parks Department. 

Site tours for rentals are available the first Saturday of every month between 10 am and 1 pm by appointment.   For more information about rental rates and availability, contact the Recreation and Parks Department at 310-544-5260.
