The Chamber Orchestra at St. Matthew’s — Sounds of the Seasons

The 2011 – 2012 season concludes with selections from Vivaldi's immortal "Four Seasons" coupled with a new "Four Seasons" by American violinist and composer Mark O'Connor. O'Connor has made a name for himself through artful blending of classical and traditional American musical expressions and his hauntingly beautiful and exciting "Four Seasons" is one of the most downloaded pieces of crossover music on iTunes. The "Seasons" will be coupled with the world premiere of a newly commissioned work by Christopher Tin and the Marimba Concerto by Emmanuel Séjourné, played by the Chamber Orchestra's longtime Principal Percussionist, Aaron Smith.
