In Memory of

Richard Butler
February 22, 1951 - June 6, 2007

Our good friend, Richard Butler, recently passed away at the age of 56.  The following is a tribute to Richard and to his daughter, Elizabeth.  We just want her to know how special he was and how much he loved her.

Elizabeth:

My husband Chuck and I have been good friends of your dad's for many years. Chuck met him when they were both 13 around 1964. I met him when I was 17 in 1971. We were the best of friends and we loved him very much.

We just found out the news yesterday, June 15th. Our hearts just broke. We are so sorry for your loss, Elizabeth. Your dad's life goes back so far with us. His memories are everywhere when we think of the past. Your dad was there for us when we lost our handsome son, Jason, 6 years ago. Richard was a connection with our memories, he was there with us through so many important parts of our lives. He has a lot of the same memories and knows a lot of the same friends. I think he loved to remind us of stories from our past. He was a great talker and such a really smart guy. We were glad that he always kept in touch with us. He called Chuck and they would see each other from time to time...sometimes he would call and talk to me. We always had long conversations.

He talked about you so many times, Elizabeth. There was one thing constant in his life. I'm sure you know....it was his strong love for you.

I wish we could have been able to meet you. Your dad loved you so much!

Love,

Chuck and Angela Hughson

We will always love and miss you Richard!!! Until we see you again!
