Koguma Preschool was founded in 1993 to provide an unique educational experience which balances the educational styles practiced in Japan and the United States. One unique feature of our school is that we have both Japanese and American teachers on our staff; they have put together a curriculum encompassing the best of both countries. Through this varied curriculum, we expect that our pupils well gain mastery of the ideas, language and culture of both societies. Located in Rolling Hills, perennially named as one of American's best cities. our school and its large playground provide the ideal, safe and scenic environment for an enriching learning and playing experience. 

It is no exaggeration to say that "playing" is at the center of childhood. This "playing'' refer to the spontaneous actions occurred on by the child's curiosity towards his or her environment In our preschool, children will face many challenges, both in the classroom and while playing heatedly with their friends. Overcoming these challenges will give them a sense of accomplishment and contribute to their balanced development. (1)  Education with both Japanese and English

By using both languages in everyday activities, we hope children will gradually become accustomed to English in order to understand and adjust to both Japanese and American people and culture. Because the students come to understand what a teacher says, their self confidence increases and they are successful in school.

A class presentation is held monthly where the children present what they have learned in class. Society will be even more global when these children grow up. Such a global society will demand that people know themselves well, and that they have good communication skills. In another words that they:

At the school, many picture book activities are taken into the daily curriculum. In addition to story telling to children, we guide their imagination and creativity expand out from the story.

A Picture Book is a linguistic world which raise fertile imagination; an open space which ties children's intimate relationships; a good tool which cultivate mind with care.
 
 

Acceptable age of enrollment:  1.5 year-old (18 months) - 5 years old

2. Toddler Class (1.5 yr. old-2.5 yrs. old) 9:00am - 12:45pm or 3:00pm
