The Mission of the League of Voters

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

Who is eligible for League membership? The League of Women Voters welcomes all men and women who are of voting age and are citizens of the United States. When you join us you become member of National and State organizations dedicated to the principles of self-government, whose purpose is to promote political responsibility and active participation in government issues. In addition you will find yourself in the company of intelligent, friendly, stimulating people who will welcome your involvement in a continuing learning process.

How Do I Join? Call (310) 784-7787, Prospective Membership information will be sent to you. Individual Membership dues are $65 per year. Household membership dues are $97.50 per year (up to two members in the same household).
