Minutes of the Board Meeting
13 February 2007

Called to Order: 7:05 pm by Porter.
Present: Himelwright, Cooper, Burt, Kelly

Minutes of 8 January 2007 were approved. No meeting held in December.

Treasurer’s report: The treasurer’s report for January was received and filed. .

Roads:East- Limetree and Tangerine are ready for pavement. A little more widening on Tangerine was discussed.

West- still planning on patching bad spots on Narcissa and Sweetbay for now pending major work next year.

Roadsides: West- New stop signs are to be put up in the next two weeks. Signage for the cameras has been received and will be placed in the next two weeks, as well. The water bill at Narcissa has gone up again and sprinklers will be rechecked. The cost of a more efficient sprinkler system was estimated at $2500-$3000.

East- permanent planting will replace the holiday plantings at the Peppertree gate.

Access Control: Vandalism has been decreased as of late. The cameras recorded one act of vandalism and the perpetrator took care of the damages. Power outages have been causing the timing to be off lately. It was suggested that a battery backup system, if available, might help.

President’s report: none City liaison / RDA: none

Old Business: The drainage on Narcissa has been altered such that homes on the downhill side are subject to flooding during a storm. Surveyors have agreed there is a problem. It has not yet been determined who will be performing the remedial work, but the homeowner responsible for changing the flow of water will be financially responsible for correcting the problem.

New Business: It was moved and passed that the treasurer investigate changing accounting firms as our current accountant has not been providing adequate and timely services.

Communications The mayor of Rancho Palos Verdes wishes to attend a PBCA Board Meeting.

Audience: Bob Maxwell reported on his presentation at the recent City Council meeting regarding the water and drainage problem coming down Altimira Canyon into our community. It was announced that the Planning Commission is meeting on 3/6 regarding cargo containers. It was announced that a representative from the community is welcome to attend CHOA meetings (Council of Home Owners Associations)

Meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm, followed by a presentation by Bob Douglass about the Abalone Cove Landslide
