to Order: 7:10 pm by Porter. Minutes of June 4 were approved. Treasurer’s report: Treasurer’s reports from May and June were received and filed. Roads: East- An itemized bill has not been received for the patching yet. Need to keep up with small repairs on Tangerine. The grading permit was received from the City. West- Roadsides: West & East- Clean-up weekend was successful. Lots of debris removed. Thank you to all who participated. Access Control: Nothing at the Narcissa gate this month but the Peppertree gate planters have been hit again a few times. The exit, especially, needs to be reworked. President’s report: City liaison / RDA Old Business: We are waiting for a draft of a letter from our legal counsel to the City inquiring as to the reason for and permissibility of allowing a lot line adjustment that adds acreage to a parcel in the PBCA. A meeting was held with the local Fire Department regarding egress from the Preserve. They noted we need to be sure our residents have properly visible addresses in the event there is an emergency. It was noted last month that fire access to the Portuguese Bend Nature Preserve should be from Palos Verdes Drive South and not through the community. Porter will be meeting with the local fire department, reviewing the ways and means of accessing our community and the Nature Preserve. New Business: Last month, it was also moved, seconded and passed unanimously that the Architectural Standards enforcement procedures drafted by the attorney be mailed to all PBCA members in July. It was noted for clarification that these enforcement procedures would apply to the current CC&Rs, Building Regulations and Architectural Standards. We will request a visit from our attorney or their representative to our next meeting. Communications: A letter was sent thanking Universal Waste for their help with the cleanup. Audience: One resident felt some foliage was trimmed excessively during the clean up. Bob Maxwell will contacted City representatives regarding the drainage down Altamira Canyon and was informed that the City is still working with other cities on this issue.
