MINUTES – PBCA
Architecture Committee
1 November 2004
1. Call
to order, 7:30 pm. Present: Burt, Haldeman, Himmelwright, Parks,
Porter, Siegel
2.
Minutes from 4 October approved as submitted
3.
Old business:
- 3
Ginger Root. Committee met with Mike Cooper, who has promised a plan
before the next Committee meeting. The trailer that has been
stored on
the lot is hitched
up to a truck and apparently will finally be moved off of the lot.
- 7
Plumtree. No report from owner as to whether or not escrow has closed.
There appears to be grading taking place; the Board will
be asked to determine
via
the City if a permit has been issued.
- 3
Figtree. Owner still working with City.
- *68
Narcissa. Progress was delayed by the rain. He was out working today.
- 25
Sweetbay. Trailer moved and screened. Matter now considered closed.
- Riding
Club. Some trailers removed. Screening plan in work with the Committee
for the remaining trailers.
- Storage,
vacant lot, 4 Peppertree. Owner has responded to overtures from the
Committee, and has agreed to provide
us
with a schedule
for the necessary
clean-up.
He also received the notice from the Fire Department.
- Cars
stored and parked on the street – 7 Fruitree. A phone call
with the owner provided no relief. A letter was sent, but no response
has been received
so far. The Board will be asked to consider intervening.
- Dead
tree, Sweetbay and Peppertree. Has been removed. The Committee expressed
it hanks to Chuck Himmelwright.
- Shed
on vacant lot, Narcissa, across from Ride-to-Fly. A letter was sent
by the Board to the owner, requesting
that he install
screen around the
shed. He
responded in writing, stating that he would do so
around the
end of the year, and requesting guidance on a few
matters. A second
letter from the
Board
providing the requested information was sent, and
requesting a schedule in writing.
- 4.
New business:
* Containers (e.g., 8’ x 8’ x 40’ cargo containers and similar).
The Committee requested that the Board consider taking up this matter, following
the process of obtaining Community input, as is being done for the matter of
sheds. In the meantime, Casey Porter will continue to act as the Community’s
liaison on this matter with the City.
- 6
Sweetbay. Received 2 separate requests from the owner:
-
A request was submitted regarding a corral. Some discussion ensued,
and the Committee
asked that
the plan be made
more specific; in
particular, that a
specific location be designated.
- A
request was submitted regarding perimeter fencing. Questions of height
(limited to
42”), materials for the portion
facing the road (stone or 3-rail wood),
and set-back (25’ from edge of
the road easement) were resolved. Materials
for the side portion will be discussed
off-line with the Committee chairman,
and the matter brought back to the next
meeting.
5.
Audience participation: A
perceived obstruction of the roadway at the end of Plumtree was described,
consisting of a
BMW car
that
apparently has
been there
for at least a month,
and a set of large rocks that are
sitting
on the roadway. The Committee will
pay a site visit and
investigate.
6.
Adjoun: 8:00 pm. Next meeting: 6 December 2004.
Respectfully submitted,
Neil Siegel |
