Portuguese Bend Community Association Called to Order: 7:13 pm by Porter. Treasurer’s report: Treasurer’s report from October was received and filed. Roads: East- Asphalt work on Tangerine in progress. Limetree needs widening. A plan and cost estimate still must be obtained. Complaints about dumping have been received and the City has put a stop to it in certain locations. With respect to dumping in general, we need to know the company bringing the material in, the nature of the material being dumped, and the size of the load. It was suggested that overweight trucks get permission from 2 board members before they are allowed to dump. It was generally agreed that the attorney should draft a notification procedure for us to use. It would be helpful to know the nature of the fines imposed by the City or Sheriff, if any. West- nothing to report. Roadsides: West & East- A note went out with the tax bill requesting residents maintain their properties and remove weeds. Another 30 days will be allowed for people to come in to compliance, and then estimates for the work to be done by the association will be given to the homeowners. We will have the fire department up here to tell us what needs to be maintained. We will get a plan in place to include acacia removal and Kelvin Canyon cleanup. There is currently no water at the Peppertree gate, need to install anew meter. Access Control: Narcissa Gate needs repainting after being repaired. The planter at Peppertree needs repair again. President’s report: $120.00 needs to be paid for electricity used in running the Peppertree camera. The camera will be turned off. City liaison / RDA Bob Maxwell reported on Public Works projects affecting the area. Old Business: Board met with the attorney in October.
