Bend Community Organization Called to Order: pm by Porter. Present: Porter, Himelwright, Burt, Cooper, Kelly Minutes of February 12, 2008 were not received. Treasurer’s report: Treasurer’s report from February was received. Roads: East- It has been difficult to finish work due to complaints received regarding the work being done on a holiday. Pomegranate is still on the list for repairs. West- Roadsides: West & East- Need to trim roadside foliage and weeds. It is recommended that vacant lots be disked this year due to the heavy growth of weeds. If disking is not done, then two cuttings of weeds and brush are recommended. Access Control: A new keypad has been installed at Narcissa. Instructions are posted as to how it works. Need to press # first. President’s report: It was reminded that real estate Open Houses are to be conducted only on the first Sunday of the month. This is a private gated community and leaving the gates open to the public every weekend is contrary to this idea. Brokers’ Open Houses are to be held on Tuesdays from 1-4 pm and realtors involved must have someone at the gate during this time. City liaison / RDA New Business: Communications: Letters have been received complaining about the work being done on Tangerine. A letter from the City was received regarding work within the Community on holidays Audience: A water main break on Cinnamon caused flooding in one garage and we are reminded of the potential for future land movement in that area (Zone 5) when it receives excessive water. The cause of the breakage should be made know to us through Cal Water Service. The guardrail along Narcissa is in need of replacing. The road above the Wayfarer’s Chapel is still settling where it was exposed to a broken water line last fall. Foliage is obscuring the stop signs at Pomegranate. A discussion was held regarding the impact a lot line adjustment at 37 Cinnamon would have on the community in light of the judgment received a few years ago from Judge Willets. No action was taken.
