Minutes of the Portuguese Bend Board of Directors

July 7, 2008

Called to Order: 7:15 pm by Kelly.

Present: Cooper, Burt, Himmelwright and Kelly

Minutes of June 2, 2007 were approved.

Treasurer’s report: Treasurer’s report for June was received.

Correspondence: A response from the city regarding our lot line adjustment appeal was received. The item placed on the agenda for August 26 at the Planning Commission meeting. A letter from resident Jeremy Davies is available for other residents to review if they want to also submit communication to the City.

Roads and Public Works East- Paved Pomegranate West. $25,000.00.

Roads and Public Works West: Nothing to report.

Roadsides: West & East: Routine maintenance being performed. Applyuing for the Beautification Grant from the City again this year. The planters at the Peppertree gate have been removed due to continuous damage being done by the vehicles entering the community.

Access Control: Peppertree gate being repaired. The cameras at Peppertree are being replaced and upgraded. An estimate from Cox Cable for service was received. Association Directors are authorized to tow cars parked illegally at the gate lot. Identifying declas are being worked up for Associaton Members' vehicles to aid in this enforcement.

President’s report: none

City liaison / RDA: Bob Maxwell reported meeting with Mr. Bell from the city. With respect to the RDA monies, about $100,000.00 annually is being used for the dewartering wells and GPS monitoring. Regarding PV Drive South, it is being reworked to lower raised portions.

b: It was moved and seconded and passed 4-0 to request the association's attorney to review correspondence and course of action for the oerall project at Tangerine (see below),, It was also moved, seconded and passed 4-0 to complete the temorary work on Tangerine and Limetree to make roads passable at the scarp over the next two weeks.

New Business: The budget for fiscal year 08-09 was approved,. It was moved, seconded and passed to have the attorney draft a letter to be sent to residents regarding the cleaning of their properties in and along Altamira Canyon.

Communications:

Audience: A concern was raised regarding the size and weight of trucks entering the community. This was especially concerning the hay trucks going to the stables.

There was lots of correspondence regarding the work being done on Tangerine.

There wasa a request to extend the paving recently done on Pomegranate another 30 yards or so. This will be looked into with respect to who actually owns and is responsible for that piece of road.

There was a request to get some temporary patching done on Tangerine and Limetree. This will be done this week.

There was a suggestion to establish an endowment fund and a committeefor worthwhile projects benefiting the community and its members.
