TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS FROM: SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST DATE: DECEMBER 17, 2002 SUBJECT: CLAIM AGAINST THE CITY BY SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON RECOMMENDATION Reject the claim and direct staff to notify the claimant. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION Southern California Edison claim damages allegedly as a result of City contracted tree trimming that struck and burned down Edison’s overhead electrical facilities. The damage allegedly occurred on August 2, 2002 at the rear of 2410 Daladier. A copy of the claim is attached.
