SUBJECT: CITY COUNCIL/PLANNING COMMISSION JOINT WORKSHOP

RECOMMENDATION:

Set a date in February for a Joint City Council and Planning Commission meeting.

BACKGROUND:

Councilmember Clark has asked that the City Council consider setting a date and time for a joint workshop session with the Planning Commission. Proposed discussion topics would include: (1) Neighborhood Compatibility, (2) Protected Views/Right to Build to 16' and (3) Insurance Requirements for private projects.

DISCUSSION:

Potential dates for the Joint meeting include Saturday, February 8^th and Saturday February 15^th. The Council may wish to avoid Saturday, February 15^th since for many it is part of a three-day weekend. Staff suggests the meeting begin at 9:00 am and take place at the Hesse Park Community Center.
