SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF ADVISORY BOARD CHAIRS
RECOMMENDATION
Appoint a chair for the Finance Advisory Committee and the Equestrian Committee.
INTRODUCTION
With the completion of interviews of appointees interested in serving as chair of their respective board, the City Council can now make those appointments.
BACKGROUND
On January 7th the City Council interviewed candidates for chair of the Planning Commission, Traffic Committee and the Finance Advisory Committee. At the regular meeting immediately following those interviews, the City Council appointed Tom Long as Chair of the Planning Commission and Barry Hildebrand as Chair of the Traffic Committee.
Because two candidates (Richard Bara, Equestrian Committee and Gina McLeod, Finance Advisory Committee) were unable to attend the interviews on that date, Council decided to continue the interviews for those committees to this date.
CONCLUSION
The interview process for chairs of the Finance Advisory Committee and the Equestrian Committee has been completed and Council can now make those appointments.
