SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS COMMITTEE AND SELECTION OF CHAIR

RECOMMENDATION

(1) Appoint seven members to serve on the Emergency Preparedness Committee; and (2) Select a chair for the committee.

INTRODUCTION

Appointment of this seven member committee will allow them to start the work outlined in the Emergency Preparedness Task Force report submitted to the City Council on April 15^th.

BACKGROUND

The City Council has now completed the interview process for candidates for the Emergency Preparedness Committee. Nine of the fifteen member task force applied for appointment and staff has prepared a ballot listing all of those candidates.
