SUBJECT:	CASE NO. ZON2003-00235 (CODE AMENDMENT) – Code amendment revising Chapters 17. 11 and 17.96 of Title 17 of the City’s Municipal Code as they pertain to Affordable Housing and State-mandated density bonus provisions / CITYWIDE.

RECOMMENDATION

Continue this matter to the City Council meeting of July 1, 2003.

BACKGROUND

City Council consideration of this Code Amendment was scheduled for June 17, 2003; however, it was contingent upon Planning Commission review of the matter at its June 10, 2003 meeting. Unfortunately, due to the number of items on the agenda, the Planning Commission continued the hearing on this item to its June 24, 2003 meeting. Since the Code Amendment was noticed for public hearing at tonight’s City Council meeting, Staff hereby recommends that the City Council continue this matter to the July 1, 2003 meeting to allow consideration of the Code Amendment by the Planning Commission.
