SUBJECT: CLAIM AGAINST THE CITY BY DENNIS P. FINN

RECOMMENDATION

Reject the claim and direct staff to notify the claimant.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

The claimant alleges vehicle damage due to palm frond debris falling on his car. The claimant’s car was parked on the street near 6601 Beachview Drive, when he first observed the damage on February 2, 2003. The claim amount is $951.87 that includes rental car expenses and vehicle repair. A copy of the claim is attached.

The City’s Claims Administrator, Carl Warren & Company has advised the City to reject the claim.
