SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF ADVISORY BOARD CHAIRS
RECOMMENDATION
Appoint a chair for the Planning Commission, Traffic Committee and the Finance Advisory Committee.
INTRODUCTION
With the completion of interviews of appointees interested in serving as chair of their respective board, the City Council can now make those appointments.
BACKGROUND
On January 20th the City Council appointed members to the Planning Commission, Traffic Committee and the Finance Advisory Committee. At that time, staff was directed to notify the City’s various advisory boards that members interested in serving as chair of their respective board notify the City Clerk’s Office. The interview of interested candidates was scheduled for the Adjourned Regular Meeting to be held at 6:00 P.M. on February 17th. The following board members expressed their interested in being considered for chair: Planning Commission – Craig Mueller; Traffic Committee –Ava Jordan-Shepherd; and, Finance Advisory Committee – Becky Clark.
CONCLUSION
The interview process for chairs of the Planning Commission, Traffic Committee and Finance Advisory Committee has been completed and Council can now make those appointments.
