TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
FROM: DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS
DATE: March 16, 2004
SUBJECT: CREST ROAD RESURFACING PROJECT
Staff Coordinator: Bindu Vaish, Project Manager
Adopt Resolution 2004-_____, A resolution of the City Council for the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, approving Program Supplement Agreement No. 004-M, and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the agreement.
The Capital Improvement Program includes a project to resurface Crest Road from Hawthorne Boulevard to the city’s boundary with the City of Rolling Hills. Total project costs are estimated at $900,000. The proposed funding plan includes $ 613,230 of Federal TEA-21 monies.
TEA-21 guidelines require the City to execute a supplemental agreement with the office of Caltrans Local Programs, who administer TEA-21 funds. The recommended action authorizes the Mayor to execute that supplemental agreement.
Adopting the staff recommendation will allow the City to collect $613,230 of Federal TEA-21 monies towards the resurfacing of Crest Road.
