SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF EQUESTRIAN COMMITTEE CHAIR

RECOMMENDATION

Appoint a chair for the Equestrian Committee.

INTRODUCTION

With the completion of the interview of the appointee interested in serving as chair of the Equestrian Committee, the City Council can now make that appointment.

BACKGROUND

On March 2^nd the City Council appointed seven members to the Equestrian Committee making it a nine member committee. All members were appointed for a period of one year. At that same meeting, staff was directed to notify the Committee that members interested in serving as chair should notify the City Clerk’s Office. The interview of interested candidates was scheduled for the Adjourned Regular Meeting to be held at 6:00 P.M. on March 16th. Staff notified all committee members via e-mail and received a response from member Gordon Leon.

CONCLUSION

The interview process for chair of the Equestrian Committee has been completed and Council can now make that appointment.
