SUBJECT: CLAIM AGAINST THE CITY BY WERNER MEISSNER

RECOMMENDATION

Reject the claim and direct staff to notify the claimant.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

The claimant alleges the dangerous condition of the walkway facing Ridgegate, about a quarter of mile south of Highridge, caused his daughter to sustain injuries due to a trip and fall on the walkway. The claim damages is for $425,000.

A copy of the claim is attached.

The City’s Claims Administrator, Carl Warren & Company, has advised the City to reject the claim.
