SPECIAL MEETING

RANCHO PALOS VERDES CITY COUNCIL

AUGUST 17, 2004

The meeting was called to order at 6:15 P.M. by Mayor Gardiner at Fred Hesse Community Park, 29301 Hawthorne Boulevard, notice having been given with affidavit thereto on file.

PRESENT: Long, Stern, Wolowicz and Mayor Gardiner

ABSENT: Mayor pro tem Clark (excused)

Also present were City Manager Les Evans and Assistant City Manager Carolynn Petru.

Emergency Preparedness Training for City Council. (401)

Mike Martinet, Area G Disaster Management Area Coordinator (DMAC) for the Los Angeles County Operational Area, presented a review of the Executive Course of the State of California Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS) per Article 9.5 – Disaster Preparedness Section 8607 of the Government Code.

No action was taken.
