TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS FROM: ASSISTANT TO THE CITY MANAGER DATE: OCTOBER 5, 2004 SUBJECT: RECOMMENDATION Reject the claim and direct staff to notify the claimant. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION The claimant alleges a tree limb from a City tree fell and hit the top of her vehicle while driving southbound on Hawthorne Boulevard near Blackhorse Road on July 25, 2004. The claim damages is for $350.00. A copy of the claim is attached. The City’s Claims Administrator, Carl Warren & Company, has advised the City to reject the claim.
