SUBJECT: CLAIMS AGAINST THE CITY BY INDIAN RIDGECREST GARDENS, LP
RECOMMENDATION
Reject the claims and direct staff to notify the claimant.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The claimant alleges that city officials defamed Indian Ridgecrest Gardens in their statements in the June 24, 2004 issue of the Palos Verdes Peninsula News. The claim for damages is $100,000. A copy of the claim is attached.
The City’s Claims Administrator, Carl Warren & Company, has advised the City to reject the claim.
