RECOMMENDATION
1) Appoint a chair for the Equestrian Committee; 2) Make an appointment to the Planning Commission to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Susan Cote; said term of office until March 2006; and, 3) Appoint one additional member to the Traffic Safety Commission, with a two-year term of office until February 2007
BACKGROUND
On March 15, 2005, the City Council appointed the following six people to the Traffic Safety Commission: Kenneth Giles, Lawrence Klein, Jeffrey Lewis, Ava Shepherd, Damon Willens and Paul Wright, and deferred the appointment of the seventh member to this evening’s meeting. In addition, the Council deferred the appointment to fill the vacancy on the Planning Commission until this evening.

At an adjourned regular meeting held earlier this evening, the City Council interviewed one candidate for chair of the Equestrian Committee:
