RECOMMENDATION
Direct staff to prepare a report describing incentives that the City could offer developers to encourage the construction of energy efficient buildings.
BACKGROUND
Mayor Pro Tem Wolowicz has asked that the City Council direct staff to prepare a report describing incentives that the City could offer developers to encourage the construction of energy efficient buildings. His thought is not to place more requirements on builders through stricter code requirements, but to make it attractive for developers to design and construct "green buildings."
