That the City Council continue the public hearing to the December 20, 2005 City Council meeting.

DISCUSSION

Revision "Y" to the Trump National Golf Club is a request to allow a temporary opening of the golf course and driving range. At the November 1, 2005 City Council meeting, the Council continued their review of Revision "Y" to the December 6, 2005 Council meeting. The item was continued so that the status of some of the outstanding conditions remaining to be satisfied prior to opening could more effectively be evaluated.  Specifically, the City Geologist had not completed a first review of the necessary as-built geologic reports prior to determining whether to permit the golf course to open.  Additionally, there are certain geologic monitoring issues that the City Geologist feels should be addressed prior to the opening of the course to the public.

As requested in the attached letter from Trump National Golf Club, dated November 23, 2005, the Applicant has requested that the public hearing be continued to the December 20, 2005 Council meeting so as to allow the City's geological consultant more time to review and comment on pertinent geological reports. Staff supports this request.
