Staff recommends that the City Council continue the public hearing to February 21, 2006.
On September 13, 2005, the Planning Commission adopted P.C. Resolution No. 2005-42, thereby forwarding a recommendation to the City Council to amend various sections Development Code (Title 17) to establish regulations for the use of cargo containers on private and public property. As part of its recommendation, the Planning Commission also recommended that the Council amend the Building Code (Title 15) accommodate the use of cargo containers within the Landslide Moratorium Area.
Staff is still working with the City’s Building Official and the City Attorney to resolve issues with the Building Code to allow the Council to consider Planning Commission’s recommendation. As such, staff is recommending that the Council continue the hearing to February 21, 2006.
