FROM: ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER/CITY CLERK
DATE: FEBRUARY 21, 2006
SUBJECT: CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE PRODUCTIONS – 2006

On April 19, 2005, City Council adopted Policy No. 40, Programming on Cable Television Government Access Channel 3 (now 35), which stipulates in part that Council will annually approve the topics for all City-sponsored Special Event Shoots and Public Service Announcements provided under the 2000 Cable Television Franchise Agreement. To that end, the Manager of RPV Cable Television, Gabriella Holt, has prepared the list below of proposed topics for 2006 for Council review and approval. Staff is also seeking Council approval for the Manager of RPV Cable Television to select the topics, subject to approval by the City Manager or his designee, for the one special event shoot and one PSA that are currently undesignated.
