SUBJECT: CLAIM AGAINST THE CITY BY GEORGE CARABET

RECOMMENDATION
Reject the claim and direct staff to notify the claimant.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The claim is for plumbing expenses and excessive water costs allegedly due to faulty repairs on a water line by a city contractor. The claim amount is for $2,471. A copy of the claim is attached.

The City’s Claims Administrator, Carl Warren and Company, has advised the City to reject the claim. In addition, Carl Warren and Company has tendered the claim to City contractor Damon Construction Company.
