SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION CHAIR

RECOMMENDATION

Appoint a Chair for the Traffic Safety Commission for a term on one year.

DISCUSSION

The current Chair of the Traffic Safety Commission is Ava Jordan-Shepherd, who was appointed to that position on April 19, 2005. Staff polled the current Commission members and Ms. Jordan-Shepherd expressed an interest in serving as Chair of during the next year. The Council conducted interviews for Chair earlier this evening and can now make the appointments to these bodies.
