SUBJECT: CLAIM AGAINST THE CITY BY VANTAGE POINT ASSOCIATION
RECOMMENDATION
Reject the claim and direct staff to notify the claimant.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
On April 16, 2006, a vehicle accident occurred on Crest Road and caused damage to the Vantage Point Association’s fencing, landscaping and irrigation lines. The claimant alleges City contractors damaged the Association’s irrigation lateral line when removing the City’s street sign and pole that were also damaged by the same vehicular accident. The claim is in the amount of $97.00 for repair expenses. A copy of the claim is attached.
The City’s Claims Administrator, Carl Warren and Company, has reviewed this claim and advised the City to reject the claim.
