Recommendation: Adopt a motion to waive reading in full of all ordinances presented at this meeting with consent of the waiver of reading deemed to be given by all Council Members after the reading of the title.

Recommendation: Approve the Minutes of the June 16, 2009 Regular Meeting.

3.         Border Issues Status Report (Fox)
Recommendation: Receive and file the current report on the status of border issues.

4.         Claim Against the City by Hartford Insurance Company (Gyves)
Recommendation: Reject the claim and direct staff to notify the claimant.

5.         Funds Requested for Evaluating Additional Proposals for Residential Solid Waste Services (Ramezani)
Recommendation: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 2009- __, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES, AMENDING RESOLUTION 2009-40, THE BUDGET APPROPRIATION FOR FY 09-10, TO INCREASE THE BUDGET IN THE WASTE REDUCTION FUND;
2) Amend the professional services contract with HF&H Consultants, LLC to extend the scope of services for work needed regarding evaluating additional proposals, and increase their existing contract in the amount not to exceed $152,500 by a maximum additional amount of $13,000, for a total contract not to exceed $165,500; and, 3) Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign Amendment No. 1 to the professional services contract with HF&H Consultants, LLC.

6.         Park Ranger Salary Range (Petru)
Recommendation: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 2009-__, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES, ADDING A NEW SALARY RANGE FOR THE POSITION OF PARK RANGER AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2008-48.

7.         License Agreement with Verizon Wireless (Petru)
Recommendation: 1) Approve a License Agreement with Verizon Wireless for the installation and maintenance of a telecommunications facility at Robert E. Ryan Park; and, 2) Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute said agreement.

8.         May 2009 Monthly Report of Cash Balances (McLean)
Recommendation: Receive and file the May 2009 Monthly Report of Cash Balances for the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.
