PUBLIC HEARINGS:

(5 mins)   1.          Use of State Funding for Supplemental Police Services – Core Police Team (Petru)
Recommendation: Approve the continued use of COPS (Citizen Option for Police Services) grant in FY 09-10 to partially fund the CORE Police Team.

REGULAR NEW BUSINESS:

(2 hours)   2.         Joint Workshop of the City Council and Planning Commission to Discuss the General Plan Update Program (Pfost)
Recommendation: 1) Receive a presentation by Staff; 2) Hear public testimony, and; 3) Provide direction/feedback regarding the following: A) Does the Council/Commission concur with Staff that Staff should continue to propose changes to the General Plan land use designation boundaries to match the parcel specific Zoning Map for future review by the Commission and Council?
B) Does the Council/Commission concur with Staff that Staff should continue to propose changes to the General Plan land use designations for certain properties for future review by the Commission and Council?  C) Does the Council/Commission concur with Staff on the new subject areas to be included in the General Plan and would the Council/Commission like to direct Staff to include any additional new subject areas? D) Should the Finance Advisory Committee, Traffic Safety Commission and the Emergency Preparedness Committee be responsible for reviewing the Draft Fiscal Element, Draft Circulation Element and Draft Safety Element, respectively, prior to the Planning Commission consideration of said Elements? E) Does the Council/Commission concur with Staff on the recommended Next Steps in the General Plan Update process?

Written materials, including emails, submitted to the City are public records and may be posted on the City’s website.  In addition, City meetings may be televised and may be accessed through the City's website.  Accordingly, you may wish to omit personal information from your oral presentation or written materials as it may become part of the public record regarding an agendized item.
