RANCHO PALOS VERDES CITY COUNCIL

ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING

MEETING WITH STATE LEGISLATORS

JANUARY 10, 2000

The meeting was called to order at 9:00 A.M. in Assemblyman Lowenthal’s office

in the State Capitol Building, Sacramento, Special Notice having been given with affidavit thereto on file.

Present:Ferraro, Lyon, McTaggart, Stern, and Mayor Byrd

Also present were City Manager Les Evans and Assemblyman Lowenthal’s Chief of Staff John Casey and District Representative Mary Lou Echternach.

Legislation

Discussion centered on the following:

1. State Budget Issues
2. Assistance on PVIC Remediation Cost
3. NCCP Issues
4. Senior Center Funding
5. Ocean Trails - Coastal Commission Issues

No action was taken.

Recess & Reconvene: At 10:00 A.M., the meeting was recessed. The meeting reconvened at 11:30 A.M. in State Senator Betty Karnette’s office. Senator Karnette’s Chief of Staff Charles Wright, and Senator Karnette’s District Representative Ken Jenkins were present.

The items under discussion at that office included the following:

1. State Budget Issues
2. Assistance with PVIC Remediation Cost
3. Ocean Trails - Coastal Commission Issues

No action was taken.

Adjournment: At 12:00 Noon, the meeting adjourned on motion of Councilman John McTaggart.
