The meeting was called to order at the City Hall Conference Room, 30940 Hawthorne Boulevard at 4:00 P.M. by Mayor Byrd, notice having been given with affidavit thereto on file.

Present: Ferraro, Stern, McTaggart, Lyon & Mayor Byrd

Also present were City Manager Les Evans and City Attorney Carol Lynch.

At 4:02 P.M. Council recessed to a closed session to discuss with the City Attorney the matter of pending litigation in the case entitled Jon Echevarrieta vs. The City of Rancho Palos Verdes, Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District Case No. B138366 and to hear any oral communications from the public about the topic of the closed session.

At 4:10 P.M. the Council reconvened with the same members present.

Councilwoman Ferraro moved seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Lyon to await the final judgment of the court before executing the warrant.

The motion carried on a four – one vote with Councilman McTaggart voting no.

Audience Comments: No member of the public addressed the City Council.

Adjournment: At 4:15 P.M. the meeting adjourned on motion of Mayor Byrd.
