The meeting was called to order at 9:40 A.M. by Mayor Byrd at the Fred Hesse Community Park, 29301 Hawthorne Boulevard, notice having been given with affidavit thereto on file.

Present:Stern, Lyon, and Mayor Byrd

Absent:McTaggart and Ferraro

Also present were City Manager Les Evans; Assistant City Manager Carolynn Petru; Public Works Director Dean Allison; Director of Planning, Building Enforcement Joel Rojas; Recreation and Parks Director Ron Rosenfeld; Finance Director Dennis McLean; and, Administrative Services Director/City Clerk Jo Purcell.

After opening remarks by Mayor Byrd, self-introduction followed by all attendees.

Director McLean gave a presentation of the City’s new website and highlighted some of the significant features of the site: City Departments and Services; News, Information and Other Links; and, Major Developments.

City Manager Evans then gave a brief overview of major applications currently under consideration, all of which were detailed on the website.

(At 10:45 A.M. Mayor Pro Tem Lyon left the meeting.)

Mayor Byrd then fielded several questions from the audience.

No action was taken.

The meeting adjourned at 11:00 A.M. on motion of Mayor Byrd.
