M I N U T E S RANCHO PALOS VERDES IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING APRIL 3, 2001
The meeting was called to order at 9:15 P.M. by Chair Lyon at Fred Hesse Community Park, 29301 Hawthorne Boulevard. PRESENT: Byrd, Ferraro, McTaggart, Stern, and Chair Lyon ABSENT: None Also present were Chief Administrative Officer Les Evans; Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Carolyn Petru, Commission Attorney Carol Lynch; Director of Planning, Building & Code Enforcement Joel Rojas; Director of Public Works Dean Allison; Commission Secretary Jo Purcell; and, Recording Secretary Jackie Drasco.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA Commissioner Ferraro moved, seconded by Commissioner Byrd, to approve the Agenda as presented. Motion carried. APPROVAL OF CONSENT CALENDAR Commissioner Ferraro moved, seconded by Commissioner McTaggart, to approve the amended consent calendar as follows: Minutes (301) Approved the minutes of March 6, 2001. February 2001 Treasurer’s Report (602 x 2200) Ordered received and filed. Resol. No IA 2001-04 - Register of Demands (602 x 2200) ADOPTED RESOLUTION NO. IA 2001-04, A RESOLUTION OF THE RANCHO PALOS VERDES IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AND SPECIFYING FUNDS FROM WHICH THE SAME ARE TO BE PAID. The motion to approve the Consent Calendar carried on the following roll call vote: AYES: Byrd, Ferraro, Lyon, McTaggart, Stern and Chair Lyon NOES: None # # # # # # # PUBLIC COMMENTS Lois Larue, 3136 Barkentine, spoke in opposition to Member McTaggart’s CMANC trip to Washington D.C.
Member McTaggart replied that one purpose of this trip was to discuss the City’s request to the Federal Government to clean up the lead-contaminated soil at Pt. Vicente Interpretative Center. ADJOURNMENT: At 9:20 P.M., the meeting was adjourned on motion of Chair Lyon.
