The meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by Mayor Long at Fred Hesse Community Park, 29301 Hawthorne Boulevard, notice having been given with affidavit thereto on file. City Attorney Lynch announced that the City Council would be meeting in Closed Session to discuss the items listed under the Closed Session portion of the Agenda. The meeting was immediately recessed into Closed Session.
The Special Meeting reconvened in Open Session at 7:01 P.M.
City Attorney Lynch reported that: 1) With respect to the item of potential litigation due to threat of litigation, the only issue discussed in closed session was concerning the ficus trees at the Trump National Golf Course and no action was taken; and 2) With respect to the item regarding the potential sale of real property located at Crenshaw and Crestridge, the City Council unanimously directed the City’s negotiators to discontinue negotiations at this point and to bring back options for the Council to discuss on a future open session agenda.
Councilman Clark moved, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Stern to adjourn the meeting.
Mayor Long adjourned the Special Meeting at 7:02 P.M.
