CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES Weekly Activity Report for January 30 - February 5, 2005 CRIME SUMMARY Crimes reported during this time period in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included two vehicle burglaries, one other structure burglary, one grand theft (auto), two grand thefts and four petty thefts. ARRESTS Narcotics Laws - 1 Burglary - 1 January 30 Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole several items from an unlocked car in the 6300 block of Madeline Cove Drive. January 31 Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole a woman's purse from a pickup in a parking lot in the 28900 block of Western Avenue. February 3 Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a backpack, containing several items, from a table in a room at a school in the 30800 block of Palos Verdes Drive East. February 5 Vehicle Burglary - A victim reported that between January 31st – February 2nd, person(s) unknown stole a car radio from a locked car in the 6300 block of Via Colinita. There was no sign of forced entry. Grand Theft (auto) (overnight) - A 1999 Honda Accord was stolen from a parking lot in the 28900 block of Western Avenue. February 5 (continued) Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown removed a padlock on a storage container, removed the padlocks of storage lockers, and stole numerous saddles and tack items at a stable on Pomegranate Road. *** A male suspect and a female suspect were arrested later in the day and most property had been recovered ***
