Weekly Activity Report for May 8 to May 14, 2005
Crimes reported during this time period in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one residential burglary, two vehicle burglaries, one grand theft (auto), one attempt grand theft (auto), one grand theft, one petty theft, one act of arson and one act of vandalism.
Vehicle Laws - 4 Attempt Grand Theft (auto) 1
Attempt Grand Theft (auto) (morning) - A male suspect was arrested after attempting to steal a pickup in the 1700 block of Oldstone Court.
Grand Theft (vehicle) (overnight) - A 2003 Honda motorcycle was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 2100 block of Summerland Street.
Grand Theft - A victim reported that between February 1st - May 7th, a female suspect (employee) stole several items of jewelry from her home in the 26800 block of Hyte Road.
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole several items from a locked vehicle in the 26500 block of Mazur Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.
Arson (nighttime) - A male suspect set the rear seat of a vehicle in the 28500 block of Bearhaven Court on fire. The suspect fled on foot after being seen by the owner.
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole power tools from a vehicle in the 5975 block of Peacock Ridge Road.
Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole several items from an unlocked car in the open garage of a home in the 5900 block of Peacock Ridge Road. Other items were also stolen from an unlocked car in the driveway of the home.
