Weekly Activity Report of June 5 to June 11, 2005
Crimes reported during this time period in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one residential burglary, one other structure burglary, one vehicle burglary, one felonious assault, two grand thefts, one act of arson and one act of vandalism.
Arson- 1 Vehicle Laws - 1
Grand Theft (auto) - 1 Felonious Assault - 1
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole a woman's purse from a car in the 27500 block of Western Avenue.
Arson (nighttime) - Four male subjects were detained after removing parts of a wooden fence and setting a fire in a wooden boat at a school in the 6000 block of Palos Verdes Drive South.
Residential Burglary - A victim reported that between June 2003 and June 7th,
2005, person(s) unknown stole a handgun from a home in the 30100 block of Miraleste Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.
Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a bag containing numerous items from an unlocked car in the 27500 block of Western Avenue.
Grand Theft - A victim reported that between May 14th and June 8th, person(s) unknown stole 12 rugs from his home on Paseo De Castana. There was no sign of forced entry.
Other Structure Burglary - A victim reported that between June 5th and 9th, person(s) unknown stole vehicle parts from his car in the subterranean garage of a complex in the 285900 block of Peacock Ridge Road.
Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male subject was detained after threatening a male victim and a female victim with a handgun during an argument at a home in the 30000 block of Cachan Place.
