Weekly Activity Report for June 19 to June 25, 2005

CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported during this time period in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included four residential burglaries, one attempt residential burglary, one school burglary, one attempt vehicle burglary, one grand theft (auto), two grand thefts, one petty theft and one act of vandalism.

June 20

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a video game system and clothing from an apartment in the 6700 block of Los Verdes Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Grand Theft (weekend) - Person(s) unknown stole water meters from a bin in the locked gated yard of a business in the 5800 block of Crest Road. There was no sign of forced entry.

June 21

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole two air compressors and several power tools from the garage of a home in the 27000 block of Springcreek Road. There was no sign of forced entry.

Attempt Residential Burglary - A victim reported that between June 19th and
21st, person(s) unknown attempted to pry her garage door open. The door was damaged but entry was not accomplished.

Grand Theft - An informant reported that between June 3rd and 21st, person(s) unknown stole a metal bin containing water meters from the yard of a business in the 5800 block of Crest Road. Several items were also stolen from inside a truck at the location.


June 22

School Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown pried a door of one classroom and broke the glass in the door of another at a school in the 28900 block of Northbay Road. It was undetermined at the time of this report whether anything was taken.

June 24

Attempt Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown damaged a door in an attempt to gain entry into a vehicle in the 5600 block of Ravenspur Drive.

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown pried open a window and entered a home on Santa Barbara Drive. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

Grand Theft (auto) (daytime) - A 2003 Chevrolet van was stolen from a parking lot in the 28900 block of Western Avenue.

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown cut a padlock on a fence and then stole several power tools from a home under construction in the 6400 block of Chartres Drive.
