CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported during this time period in the City
of Rancho Palos Verdes included one car jacking, one residential burglary,
four vehicle burglaries, one petty theft and three acts of vandalism.

September 12
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke
a window and stole a woman's purse from a vehicle in a parking lot in
the 7000 block of Los Verdes Drive.
September 13
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke
a window and stole a woman's purse from a car in a parking lot in the
30000 block of Hawthorne Boulevard.
September 14
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole
several items from a locked vehicle in the 1900 block of Trudie Drive.
There was no sign of forced entry.
Carjacking (evening) - Two male suspects, one armed
with a handgun, forced a male victim to drive his freight truck from
Western Avenue and Trudie Drive to a parking lot in San Pedro. The victim
was able to escape from the truck in the parking lot and the suspects
fled on foot.
Residential Burglary - A victim reported that between
August 15th and September 7th, person(s) unknown stole jewelry from
a home in the 27700 block of Hawthorne Boulevard. There was no sign
of forced entry.

man's wallet from an
unlocked vehicle in
the driveway of a home on Albero Court.
September 16
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke
a window and stole a
woman's purse
from a vehicle on Ocean Trails Drive.
