CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported during this time period in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included two commercial burglaries, one school burglary, two vehicle burglaries, two other structure burglaries, one felonious assault, two grand thefts, three petty thefts and three acts of vandalism.

September 25

Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole camera equipment and a handheld computer from an unlocked car in the detached garage of a home in the 4500 block of Maine Road. There was no sign of forced entry into the garage.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole U.S. coins from a vehicle in the driveway of a home in the 29400 block of Quailwood Drive.

Grand Theft (morning) - Person(s) unknown stole golf equipment from an unlocked car in the 2100 block of Chandeleur Drive.

Commercial Burglary (nighttime) - Two male suspects stole liquor from a storage room after a function in the clubhouse at a business on Ocean Trails Drive. The suspects were arrested a short time later at a hotel in Redondo Beach.

September 26

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole a backpack from a vehicle in a parking lot of a park in the 30300 block of Hawthorne Boulevard.

Commercial Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown entered a business in
the 29200 block of
Western Avenue and damaged electrical and phone equipment. There was no
sign of forced
entry.

September 27

School Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown forced a window open and
stole a wagon from
a school in the 5800 block of Palos Verdes Drive South.

September 28

Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a 2005 Yamaha
motorcycle from
the underground parking area of a complex in the 5700 block of Ravenspur
Drive.

September 30

Felonious Assault (daytime) - A male suspect was arrested after striking a
female victim on the
head with a shoe during an argument at a home in the 2600 block of Colt
Road.

October 1

Grand Theft - A victim reported that between September 26th - October 1st,
person(s) unknown
stole her laptop computer from an unlocked car at a home on Narcissa Drive.
