Weekly Activity Report for November 13 to November 19, 2005

CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported during this time period in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one attempted murder, one commercial burglary, one felonious assault, four grand thefts and one petty theft.

November 16

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a satellite radio, U.S. currency and CD's from an unlocked vehicle in the driveway of a home in the 2100 block of Nobleview Drive.

November 17

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a portable television, a palm pilot and a man's wallet from an unlocked vehicle in the driveway of a home in the 5500 block of Diversey Drive.

Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a woman's wallet from an unlocked car in a parking lot in the 30000 block of Hawthorne Boulevard.

Grand Theft - A victim reported that between September 22nd and 29th, person(s) unknown stole jewelry from her home in the 28100 block of Highridge Road. There was no sign of forced entry.

Attempt Murder (nighttime) - A female victim was choked into unconsciousness by her estranged husband at a home in the 29300 block of Indian Valley Drive.

November 19

Commercial Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown cut some phone wires, partially de-activating an alarm, and entered the offices of a church in the 26200 block of Silver Spur Road. It was unknown at the time of this report whether anything was taken.
