CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported during this time period in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one armed robbery, four vehicle burglaries, one commercial burglary, one felonious assault, one petty theft and six acts of vandalism.

May 28

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A female suspect threatened a male victim, by putting a knife to his throat, during an argument at a home in the 32600 block of Nantasket Drive.

May 29

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a wallet from a car in the subterranean garage of a complex in the 32600 block of Nantasket Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

May 30

Commercial Burglary (evening) - Person(s) unknown removed a padlock and stole several items from a locker at a business in the 28900 block of Western Avenue.

May 31

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown forced a convertible top open and stole a briefcase from a car in the 6500 block of Oceancrest Drive.

June 1

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown forced a window open and stole two women's purses and some clothing from a car in the 6500 block of Oceancrest Drive.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown unzipped a window and stole several items from a vehicle in the 6500 block of Oceancrest Drive.
June 2

Armed Robbery (daytime) - Two male suspects, armed with handguns, forced employees to give them U.S. currency at a bank in the 28900 block of Western Avenue. One of the suspects was arrested a short time later. Most of the money and a handgun were recovered.
