CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported during this time period in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one attempt residential burglary, two vehicle burglaries, one felonious assault, one grand theft (auto), one grand theft and one act of arson.

July 2

Arson (daytime) - Person(s) unknown intentionally set two trees on fire at a school in the 28900 block of North Bay Road.

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole the front bumper of a vehicle in the 2400 block of Rue Le Charlene.

July 4

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole numerous items from a vehicle in a parking lot in the 28900 block of Western Avenue.

Attempt Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown damaged a window screen in an attempt to enter an apartment in the 5600 block of Ravenspur Drive.

July 5

Grand Theft (auto) (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown stole a woman's purse, containing car keys, from an unsecured locker at a business in the 28900 block of Western Avenue. The suspect then stole the victim's car from the parking lot outside.

July 6

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect punched a male victim on the face during an altercation at an apartment in the 28100 block of Peacock Ridge Drive.

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole a women's purse and from a vehicle parked in the Eastview Park parking lot.
