CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported during this time period in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one commercial burglary, one attempt residential burglary, three grand thefts, one mail theft and one act of vandalism.

August 21
Grand Theft - A victim reported that between August 19th and 21st, person(s) unknown stole a trench digging machine from a fenced in construction site in the 6600 block of Palos Verdes Drive South. There was no sign of forced entry.
August 23
Commercial Burglary - A victim reported that on August 16th five male suspects stole beer from his store in the Miraleste Plaza. The suspects fled on skateboards.
August 24
Grand Theft (daytime) - Four male suspects stole a skateboard rail from the rear of a business in the 28500 block of Western Avenue. The suspects fled in a brown SUV.
August 27
Grand Theft - A victim reported that between May 28th and August 26th, person(s) unknown stole jewelry and numerous other items from her home in the 30500 block of Palos Verdes Drive East. There was no sign of forced entry.
Attempt Residential Burglary (nighttime) - A male suspect attempted to force a window open at a home in the 2000 block of Crestwood Street. The suspect was scared off when the resident turned on a light inside the house.
